The Short Version
When you book through one of our links, the platform may pay us a commission. You pay nothing extra: the price is the one the booking platform shows, the same as if you had opened it directly.
We are not a tour operator, a travel agency or a reserve. We do not sell tours, take payments or act as an agent for any guide, reserve or platform.
Who Does What
Every walk listed here is run by a naturalist guide or a small local company in Monteverde, or by a transport company from San José, and sold through GetYourGuide or Viator. The operator's name, the platform and the product number appear on each tour page, so you can check the listing yourself.
The operator guides the walk. The reserve sets and collects its own entrance fee. The platform takes your payment, holds your booking and applies the cancellation terms. We cannot change, refund or reschedule anything.
What the Commission Does Not Buy
Placement, badges and wording are not for sale. The listing marked as our pick is chosen on a column of the comparison table, not on what it pays. Most listings here leave the reserve entrance out of the headline price, and each tour page says so next to the price rather than in the small print.
Ratings, Reviews and Prices
Ratings and review counts are the platform's own. We do not calculate a site rating, and the site carries no aggregate rating of its own in its markup, because the site itself has no reviews. Quoted review excerpts are short, come from four and five star reviews, and keep the attribution the platform shows.
Prices are the lowest adult rate shown on each listing when it was last read. They move with the season, the group size and the exchange rate. The price that counts is the one on the checkout page before you pay.
